<Background information>

Origin : South Korea
 Genres : K-pop, dance, R&B
Years active : 2010present
 Labels : Warner Music, C-JeS Entertainment

 Jaejoong

 Yoochun

Junsu

JYJ (formerly known as Junsu/Jejung/Yuchun in Japan) is a three-member pop group, formed by the former members of South Korean group TVXQ: Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu. Their group name is taken from the first letters of each member's names.

Their debut Japanese EP The... reached No. 1 on the Japanese Oricon albums chart. The band's global debut album, The Beginning, was released in October 2010. JYJ's second studio album and first Korean full-length album In Heaven was released on September 28, 2011.

The group has caught the attention of various newspapers and media networks around the world, and became the first K-Pop group to perform in Chile, as the group continues to attract fans from many parts of the world.

It's been 3 years since they have had a concert in Dokyo dome in Japan. It has brought a lot of attention from Japanese fans. About 150,000 seats are all sold out and there were over 300,000 applicants for the concert. Although they hadn't have activities in Japan during last 3 years, they are still getting a lot of popularities.

I also want to go to a concert in Dokyo dome T_T and look forward to their activities in Korea. When they release their album, I hope MANNAM K-pop could learn their songs and have a flashmob.

[MANNAM] Korean Idol Star “H.O.T"

<Background information>
Genres : Pop, teen pop, rock, dance, k-pop, hip hop
Years active : 1996-2001
Labels : SM Entertainment
Members : Moon Hee-joon / Jang Woo-hyuk / Tony An / Kangta / Lee Jae-won

H.O.T. (Hangul: 에쵸티) was a popular five-memer South Korean boy band in the mid to late 1990s. They were formed by SM Entertainment in 1996 and disbanded in 2001. Often credited as the forerunners of the "idol group" trend in the Korean music industry, H.O.T. successfully turned mainstream Korean music into music for the younger generation. Made up of five teenagers at the time of their debut, they were formed to specifically target teenagers, hence their name "High-five Of Teenagers".

H.O.T. was formed by producer Lee Soo-man of SM Entertainment. Their comprise a mixture of rap, ballads, dance, and later Rock, with singer Kangta providing most of the ballad vocals.
The first member that Lee Soo-man picked was Kangta. The manager saw him dancing and singing in public, and was impressed. Second was Moon Hee-joon, who after auditioning was accepted into the band. Hee-joon then invited his friend Lee Jae-won to audition, who was subsequently also admitted. The fourth to join the band was Woo-hyuk, after winning first place in a dancing contest. He was asked to try out and became the fourth member to join.
SM Entertainment traveled to LA to hold auditions, and Tony An and his close friend Andy Lee joined the band, however Lee's parents later withdrew support, causing him to leave the band and join Shinhwa in 1998.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s, H.O.T participated in a variety of activities!

At that time, high school students were absent from their school and waiting for HOT's concert at dawn. There were bunch of high school girls who fell into HOT, they were crying and laughing. HOT received a lot of attention on a national scale.

From the first album to the fifth album, they got a lot of love and attention from the public, I also love H.O.T so much. It is no exaggeration to say that H.O.T is the beginning of Idol group.

H.O.T is one of unforgettable memories we have!
It will be fun if MANNAM K-pop dances H.O.T's song.

<Background information>

Origin : Seoul, South Korea
Genres : K-pop
Years active : 2010–present
Labels : Starship Entertainment
Members : Hyolyn / Bora / Soyou / Dasom
Sistar (Hangul: 씨스타, stylized as SISTAR) is a South Korean girl group formed in 2010 under the management of Starship Entertainment. On June 3, 2010, they released their debut single "Push Push" and the same day debuted on stage performing "Push Push" and "Here We Come."

2013: Continuous success, return of Sistar19 sub-unit
In December, leader Hyorin hinted at the event "A Walk with the Stars" that they were preparing for their comeback. On December 24, news were released that Sistar19 is gearing a comeback early next year in January.

On January 23, teasers for Sistar19 comeback were released and revealed that they will comeback with a single album. Starship said that "the girls put their best into this to give back to their fans’ support. They will show you their best, not only in music but in all areas.” Sistar19 released their first single album and the MV for the title track Gone Not Around Any Longer on January 30. Upon its release "Gone Not Around Any Longer" swept the music charts, topping all music charts. It went on to hit Melon's roof and achieved a certified perfect all-kill from Instiz for two times. On 21 February, Sistar's leader, Hyorin stated that they are going to prepare for Sistar's 2nd studio album after they've done with Sistar19's promotions.

SISTAR is called "The Popular Girl group" these days. Like its name, they are becoming increasingly popular.

They attended a fan signing event on February 12th at the sports brand 'ISENBERG' in The Lotte Department Store. It is for celebrating the kickoff of the Lotte Department Store in Jamsil

About 500 fans were attending for meeting SISTAR on that day.

Even though SISTAR have a tight schedule these days, they welcomed fans by asking to shake hands and saying hi to them. Although they are growing in popularity, they are always polite to people.

SISTAR will be making a comeback with their regular album in this summer.

Many fans and I look forward to it!

Kara (Hangul: 카라, Japanese: カラ, often stylized as KARA) is a South Korean pop girl group formed by DSP Media in 2007. The group is composed of Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Nicole Jung, Goo Hara, and Kang Jiyoung. The group's name comes from the Greek word "chara" (χαρά, lit. "joy"), which they interpreted to mean "sweet melody".

The group originally started off as a quartet and made their debut with "Break It" (2007) while displaying a strong female image and a mature R&B sound. Expectations for the group to be as big as their senior labelmates, Fin.K.L, were extremely high and the members were promoted as successors to them. They released their first studio album titled The First Blooming in March 2007. However, their debut was not well received by the public and was a commercial failure.

The following year, Kim Sunghee departed the group due to parental pressure, and members Goo Hara and Kang Jiyoung were brought in. After their addition, the group also changed their image and style of music to the "pretty but natural" appeal, releasing their first mini-album entitled Rock U in July 2008. They achieved their first number one song with "Honey" (2009). In July 2009, the group released their second studio album entitled Revolution. The album spawned the hit single "Mister", whose choreography featured the "butt-dance", that helped increase the group's popularity within East Asia. Their follow-up singles including "Lupin" (2010), "Jumping" (2010), "Step" (2011), and "Pandora" (2012) were also successful and helped further establish the group within the Korean music industry.

After finding national success the group eventually began to expand their music to Japan by signing to Universal Music Japan's subsidiary label, Universal Sigma in 2010. The group's debut was a success as they were dubbed as "Japan's No. 1 Rookie Artist of 2010" by Oricon and also receiving the "New Artist of the Year Award (International)" from the Japan Gold Disc Awards. In April 2011, the group achieved their first number one single in Japan with "Jet Coaster Love", making them the first foreign female group since the creation of the Oricon to rank number one in the first week of release and also the first foreign female group in thirty years to do so. Overall, the group managed to sell over one million physical singles within two years, making them one of the fastest-selling South Korean acts in Japan.

KARA performed 'Bye Bye Happy Days' which will be released on March 27th in Japan on stage for the first time.
KARA performed at U-EXPRESS LIVE 2013 where Makuhari Messe was held at Chiba in Japan.
KARA, Hyunjung Kim, Ringo Starr from Beatles, Far East Movement who topped the rank on the billboard chart and Perfume, a Japanese girl group, performed on the same stage. 15,000 fans welcomed them.

Each members in KARA also is getting much attention in Korea these days.

Because Gyuri Park is starring in korean soap opera 'Nail Shop Paris', Jiyoung Kang is a freshmen is a freshmen in the university. The internet get riled up whenever Goo Ha Ra makes an appearance, becaudse she garners a lot of attention from men.
